Born and raised at the epicenter of French culture and gastronomy Genevieve Kappler has today over 18 years of experience at the service of the coffee industry. In 2008 she created her own Global Coffee Services Agency, known as CPIA llc, with two distinct brands signing her work as The Coffee Technologist or The Coffee Curator.
After studying gastronomy and oenology in France she was trained in Guatemala on green coffee production, processing , and quality control. She then migrated in the USA where she started working as a green buyer and studied International business and finance at night to create a full-bodied carrier in the coffee industry.
Since 2008, Gen has served as private coffee roasting technologist and quality expert for several small medium large and multinationals companies. Over 60 roasters to date have trusted her to assist them towards building strong coffee programs, growing their green coffee knowledges and unveiling new roasting understanding as well as improve quality and consistency in their operations. Most in USA, Australia, Asia, Central and South America, Caribbean, Europee, Middle east… Wherever Gen is needed -Gen goes.

Her green coffee processing and scientific background that initially sprouted from the wine industry, once at the service of a major international agriculture institute, contributed to the mastering of the multiple factors that will transform and beautify aromas of the terroirs from the field up to the roasting
High end sourcing and curation
Amongst other strengths Genevieve ‘s palate has gained recognition and a solid international reputation over the years. She served on international judging panel for world famous cupping competitions in producing nations and continue assisting producers around the world to perfect and add value to their products.
She also serves scientists in the cocoa industry in their experiments, and develops special innovative products for the tea industry.
Gen continues participating to various cupping training events and seminars as both trainer and trainee, as learning is for us all a quest with no end.
